The Adelaide River is a river in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is located in the Top End region of the Northern Territory, and is the largest river in the Top End. The river is approximately 250km long and flows through tropical savannah woodlands, wetlands and mangroves. The river is an important source of water for the local Indigenous communities, and is home to a variety of fish, birds, reptiles and mammals. It is also a popular spot for recreational activities such as fishing, boating, camping and swimming.
